Between the shirt and the bra, there’s certainly plenty of lace to go around there. Beyond the sexy look of Seyfried’s pose, it suggests she doesn’t look entirely happy there. Years after the 1972 adult film Deep Throat put Lovelace on the map, the actress revealed that she was forced into the career by her husband Chuck Traynor. Director Rob Epstein told the NY Times back in February,
“You’re along with her psychology at the different stages of her life,” Mr. Epstein said, “and when she’s ready to look at her life differently, we’re ready to tell the story differently.”
The poster manages to work the names of the many notable actors in the film, including Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, James Franco, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Sharon Stone. The cast alone is reason enough to anticipate the film, but it’s fitting that Seyfried is featured so prominently, not only because she’s playing the title character, but also because this could be a truly memorable role for her.
