Britney Spears has arrived in New York City ahead of the expected announcement that she is joining The X Factor USA.
The ‘Circus’ singer will reportedly be unveiled as the newest X Factor judge later today (May 14) at Fox’s upfront presentation.
American Idol judge Randy Jackson was spotted by the photographers moments later and offered his own thoughts on Spears possibly signing on for The X Factor.
“I love Britney, I think it’s going to be hot,” Jackson told the paparazzi.
Demi Lovato has also apparently signed on to complete the X Factor judging panel.
Simon Cowell, LA Reid, Spears and Lovato are all expected to attend Fox’s upfront presentation later today.
The X Factor USA is to return to Fox later this year, with initial auditions for the show’s second season already under way.
OK Simon, I don’t get it, I know you need a personality to fill in your quota for the masses to drool over, but seriously? Britney Spears is a completely made up person, granted she was a mousketeer, but she has as much talent as your average high school cheerleader; her recordings are completely producer created; effects, voice sampling, you name it, without them she can’t sing! So Simon, did everyone else turn you down? 100 million dollars not enough? I don’t get it, at least J Lo and Steven Tyler have talent. I know, have only yourself and LA Reid vote, you guys have the knowledge and experience and let Britney just sit there and hope the young girls will watch the show.
