Glee will focus on two separate storylines next season.
The Fox musical drama will follow the students at McKinley High, as well as the adventures of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) in New York.
The show’s fourth season will adopt a “show-within-a-show” format, Fox president Kevin Reilly confirmed in a conference call with reporters.
Glee will air in a new Thursday night slot when it returns in the fall, following new episodes of The X Factor.
Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City) and Kate Hudson (Almost Famous) will appear in the new run, it was recently confirmed.
Parker will play a mentor for Kurt, while Hudson’s role is currently under wraps.
