Featured on the first poster for Rob Cohen’s Alex Cross, the tagline “Don’t Ever Cross Alex Cross” is so dumb that it’s actually impressive that it was approved (even worse, it was also featured in the film’s first trailer). But the universe has a way of evening itself out, and with that we deliver you the first poster for The Man With The Iron Fists.
In advance of the trailer premiere, which is set for tomorrow, writer/director/star The RZA has taken to his Twitter account to post the first official one-sheet for the upcoming kung-fu flick, and in addition to being a cool piece of art, it features one seriously awesome tagline.
Based on an original script by The RZA and Eli Roth, the film is about a blacksmith (RZA) who lives in feudal China providing weapons for a small village. When an invading force comes to town, however, the blacksmith finds the need to arm himself so that he can protect the villagers from harm. The film co-stars Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Rick Yune, Jamie Chung, Cung Le, Dave Bautista, Byron Mann, Daniel Wu and Pam Grier. A release date hasn’t been announced for the movie yet, but you can check back here when the trailer turns up.
