Columbia Pictures has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming “Here Comes the Boom” mixed martial arts comedy, starring Kevin James, Salma Hayek, and Henry Winkler. Check it out below.
Plot: The story follows a former collegiate wrester, Scott Voss (James), who is now a 42-year-old apathetic biology teacher in a failing high school. When cutbacks threaten to cancel the music program and lay off its teacher (Winkler) Scott begins to raise money by moonlighting as a mixed martial arts fighter. Everyone thinks Scott is crazy – most of all the school nurse, Bella (Hayek) – but in his quest, Scott gains something he never expected as he becomes a sensation that rallies the entire school.
The new movie is directed by Frank Coraci (Zookeeper, Click, The Waterboy) and is set to hit theaters on October 12th.
